DEES Story

A Legacy of Resilience, Culture, and Customer Care

Our journey began over 30 years ago, rooted in the humble yet determined spirit of a small family business in Malaysia. Growing up surrounded by the richness of our local culture, we were inspired by the way Malaysians carry their heritage with pride. From the very start, we believed that fashion was more than just clothing—it was a way to express identity, tell a story, and bring people closer to their roots.

But our path was anything but easy. At the young age of 20, I ventured into the business world with nothing but a dream and the relentless will to succeed. The challenges were immense. Competitors, threatened by our growing presence, went to great lengths to block our progress—even banning suppliers from providing us with stock. We found ourselves in price wars, and every time we thought we could catch a break, mall management rejected our interior designs, inch by inch, time after time.

I was young, inexperienced, and overwhelmed. The rejections, the discrimination, and the unfair disadvantages weighed heavily on me, pushing me to the brink of giving up. I questioned whether I was ready for this. The fashion industry was ruthless, and every failure felt like a personal defeat. But just when it seemed like the odds were stacked too high, fate intervened.

We met a supplier who believed in us, who stood by us despite the pressure from competitors. Their unwavering support renewed our hope. We also encountered mentors and gurus—wise figures who guided us, teaching me invaluable lessons about resilience, creativity, and pushing beyond my own limits. Their belief in us became the catalyst for our perseverance, and suddenly, the walls that once seemed so high didn’t look as daunting anymore.

Step by step, we threaded through the economic crisis of the late ‘90s, determined not to let the dream of our small family business die. It was during this tough period that we felt the urge to create a brand that reflected not only our survival but also our identity as Malaysians. And so, in 2004, the DEES brand was born—an embodiment of resilience, hope, and the proud spirit of Malaysia.

More Than Just Clothing

A Reflection of Malaysian Values

Although our clothing does not necessarily feature traditional designs, our brand carries the essence of Malaysian culture in every decision we make, in every product we offer. DEES represents the diversity, strength, and unity that we see in Malaysia—a culture that stands tall despite adversity, just as we did. Our designs subtly reflect these values through their versatility, comfort, and timeless appeal, making them a perfect blend of modern style and cultural pride.

Customer-Centric Innovation

What truly sets us apart is our deep understanding of our customers’ needs. From our early days as salespeople, we worked tirelessly to learn what our customers wanted—comfortable, stylish, and high-quality clothing that they could wear with confidence. We believe that fashion should not only look good but also feel good, both in its design and its price. That’s why we’re dedicated to offering the best quality at a fraction of the price, without compromising on comfort or style.

We achieve this by streamlining our production processes, sourcing sustainable materials, and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers. This allows us to keep costs low while ensuring that every piece of clothing meets our high standards of quality. Our customers know that when they wear DEES, they are getting more than just a product—they are getting exceptional value.

A Legacy of Care and Craftsmanship

We care deeply for our customers, and everything we do is driven by a desire to provide them with clothing that makes them feel valued. Every garment we design is a reflection of our commitment to delivering quality and comfort. We want our customers to know that when they wear DEES, they are wearing more than just a brand—they are wearing a legacy of care, craftsmanship, and pride.

Looking Ahead: Staying True to Our Roots

Today, as we continue to grow and expand, we remain committed to the principles that got us here—honoring our past, embracing our culture, and always putting our customers first. We are proud of how far we’ve come, but we know that our journey is far from over. We are constantly innovating, finding new ways to bring our customers the best in fashion while staying true to our Malaysian roots.
